The scenario, developed together with the physician and theologian Johannes Huber , is based on 80 interviews with church insiders, including influential curia cardinals, bishops, abbots, theologians, Jesuit fathers from five continents, long-time Vatican journalists as well as ordinary priests and nuns. Under the assurance of complete confidentiality, many of the interviewees surprised us with almost revolutionary ideas about the future of the Church. In 20 years, it will be more feminine, more Jesuit and more spiritual - or it will no longer be.
